This quote is one of my favorite quotes. Many, if not all, of the values I hold dear were taught to me by my parents in the home. My parents were great examples to me. My parents taught me the importance of having mutual respect and trust for each other. That trust and respect permeated their relationship and helped them remain strong through the challenges of life and marriage. My parents have now been married for 36 years.
Integrity
They also taught me that I must have integrity and be honest in all I do. In addition to teaching through their words, they also taught through their actions. They were great examples of honesty and integrity in all they did.
As a leader, it is essential to have integrity. If you have integrity, you will have a foundation of morality, fidelity, mutual respect, and trust. Integrity means being true to your word. Do what you say you will do. When you have integrity, it is part of who you are. That integrity can be seen through how you lead.
