Leadership Done Right – What’s Coming Up?

By Brandon W. Jones on May 31, 2012 2

Over the last month or so, I have constantly been thinking about what I could do to make Leadership Done Right better.  I have noticed that although I have received a lot of traffic, there is significant room for improvement.  I am very happy with the growth, but I am not satisfied with where it is yet.

I could do a better job creating an environment for more conversation.  These things have really made me think a lot about what I should do to improve Leadership Done Right.  I have come up with a few things I feel will help increase the traffic to the blog.

Fewer Posts, Better Content

Over the past two months, I have written and published a new post everyday.  This has helped develop a foundation for Leadership Done Right.  At the same time, because of the limited time in between posts, it has been very challenging to put together great posts every time.

As much as I try to write quality posts every time, I definitely have room for improvement.  Going forward, I will be reducing the number of posts a week to increase the quality.  Rather than post everyday, I will try to post three to five times a week.  On days that I don’t post, I will either respond to comments or do research for future posts.

More Conversation

In addition to writing and publishing posts here on my Leadership Done Right, I publish links to each post on LinkedIn, Twitter, and Pinterest.  The posts on these other platforms has generated a lot of conversation.  While I have done a pretty good job responding to comments here on Leadership Done Right, but I have not been able to respond to all the conversations on the other platforms.

I fear that by not responding to comments, I may unintentionally be turning people away from Leadership Done Right.  By reducing the number of posts, I will have more time to respond to questions and comments.

Increased Presence On Social Media

My goal is to provide a strong comprehensive presence on the various social media platforms so that there are many opportunities to connect with you and other people that are interested in learning about Leadership Done Right.  I am in the process of setting up a presence on the following platforms:

LinkedIn

Yesterday, I created the Leadership Done Right group on LinkedIn.  Within the group, I will share all the Leadership Done Right posts, in addition to other great leadership information.  I encourage you to join the group if you have not joined already!

Facebook

I started a Facebook group for Leadership Done Right that still isn’t quite up and running.  I am in the process of getting the group page set up.  This page will be similar to the LinkedIn group where you will be able to see links to the Leadership Done Right posts as well as other great leadership information.

Increased Variety Of Posts

In addition to my regular posts about leadership in the news, leadership theory, and top leadership posts from other bloggers, I will begin posting videos where I will discuss leadership topics.  I recently got a new setup that will make it much easier to do videos regularly.  You will get the opportunity to see me talk more often!

Summary

I hope that as I make these changes, this blog will continue to be successful and generate more opportunities for discussion.  Writing posts for Leadership Done Right is very satisfying for me and I don’t have any thoughts of stopping.  Stay tuned for regular posts!

What recommendations do you have to increase the traffic and conversation on Leadership Done Right?  Thank you very much in advance for sharing your thoughts and insight!  Please share your thoughts in the comments section below!

I am glad I could help! I am constantly reviewing my stats and trying to improve my blog and increase the number of viewers I get, but it is always a challenge.
